How to Play

Rules

Fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column, and every 3×3 box contains the numbers 1–9 exactly once.

Controls

Tap a cell to select it, then tap a number below to fill it in — or, once a cell is selected, type the number on your keyboard.

Game Modes
Daily Challenge

One new puzzle every day.

Classic Sudoku

Play anytime and choose your difficulty.

Tournament

Complete multiple puzzles and compete for the best result.

Tips & Strategy
  • Scan each row, column, and 3×3 box for the numbers that are already mostly filled in — those are usually the fastest places to find your next confident number.
  • Look for a number that's missing from two of the three boxes in a row or column band — it often narrows down to just one possible cell.
  • If a cell can only logically be one number given what's already placed nearby, fill it in before guessing elsewhere.
  • Mistakes don't end your Daily Challenge or Classic puzzle, so it's fine to test a number and backtrack — only Tournament mode has a limited number of errors allowed.
  • If you're stuck, step back and recheck a whole row or column rather than staring at one cell — the missing number is often easier to spot from a wider view.
Sudoku FAQ
Is there a new Sudoku puzzle every day?

Yes — one Daily Challenge puzzle unlocks for everyone each calendar day.

What's the difference between Daily Challenge, Classic, and Tournament?

Daily Challenge is one shared puzzle per day. Classic lets you play any time at Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty, as often as you like. Tournament is a timed run through several puzzles in a row with a limited number of mistakes allowed, competing for the best combined result.

Does making a mistake end the puzzle?

Not in Daily Challenge or Classic — you can correct a wrong number and keep going. Only Tournament mode fails a puzzle once you exceed its error limit.

Are there hints?

Not currently — Sudoku here is solved purely from logic, with no hint button.

Do I need an account to play?

No — guests can play and earn points too. A free account additionally unlocks streaks, XP, Rank, and Achievements.

What are the Sudoku rules, exactly?

Every row, every column, and every 3×3 box must end up containing the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once each. The numbers already filled in when you start (the "givens") can't be changed.

How is Daily Challenge scoring calculated?

Completing the puzzle earns 25 points, plus a time bonus (25/15/10 points, faster is better) and an accuracy bonus (50 down to 10 points, fewer mistakes is better).

Does a new Daily puzzle unlock at the same time for everyone?

No — it unlocks at your own device's local midnight, not one fixed global time. Everyone still gets the same puzzle on the same calendar date.

How many difficulty levels does Classic have, and how does scoring differ?

Easy, Medium, and Hard. Base completion points scale with difficulty (10/15/25), and you still earn the same time and accuracy bonuses as the Daily Challenge on top of that.

Does the timer start the moment the puzzle loads?

No — for Daily Challenge and Classic, the timer only starts once you select your first cell, so reading the puzzle over first doesn't cost you any time.

How does Sudoku Tournament work?

You solve a series of puzzles back to back, each with its own time limit and a limited number of allowed mistakes. Each puzzle scores points for passing or failing, plus a one-shot completion bonus once you finish the whole run.

What happens if I run out of allowed mistakes in a Tournament puzzle?

That puzzle ends immediately as a fail and banks the lower "failed" score instead of the "passed" one — but the tournament continues on to the next puzzle.

Can I share my Sudoku result?

Yes — "Copy Result & Share with Community" and "Share with Friends" are two independent, one-time bonuses you can both claim after finishing a puzzle.

Does playing Sudoku affect my streak?

Yes — completing the Daily Challenge (any of the three games, not just Sudoku) advances your daily streak, as long as you play on consecutive calendar days.

What's the Sudoku leaderboard based on?

Total points earned across every Sudoku mode — Daily Challenge, Classic, and Tournament — for whichever period you have selected (Today, Week, Month, Year, or All-time).

Can I win a Sudoku Championship?

Yes — the top-scoring Sudoku player each day, week, and month is crowned Champion for that period, with tiered badges for repeat wins.

Are there Sudoku-specific achievements?

Yes — Level tiers (Expert, Master, Grand Master, based on your lifetime Sudoku points) and Championship win-count badges, on top of every game-agnostic achievement Sudoku play can also count toward.

Can I replay the exact same Classic puzzle?

Classic serves a random puzzle from the pool for your chosen difficulty each time you play, rather than a fixed rotation, so you won't reliably see the same one twice in a row.

Does Sudoku work on mobile?

Yes — tap a cell to select it, then tap a number below the grid to fill it in, or type on a physical keyboard if you have one connected.

What's the difference between Points and XP?

Points are per-game and drive that game's Level and the leaderboard. XP is a separate, global currency shared across all three games that drives your Overall Level and Rank — earned from Daily Challenge completions, achievements, missions, and sharing, not from Points directly.
